When you have around 400 team members to keep 'in the loop', finding a simple, effective way of communicating with them is a priority.
For Mark Stansfeld, UK Sales Director for O2, this is complicated by his team being spread across the UK - getting together regularly in one location is a logistical nightmare.
The team has therefore adopted BT Conference Call Premium as its preferred method of interaction, using the service for 'all hands' quarterly and monthly meetings to disseminate news from the O2 management team. BT Premium is a booked conferencing service, ideal for up to 2000 people dialling in. It offers guaranteed availability of platform - vital for large scale or critical meetings - as well as added security and lots of optional features. Mark's team makes use of the 'lecture' mode and question and answer sessions. "Lecture mode mutes all but the telephone of the person leading the meeting, to eliminate background noise," says Mark. "After the key information has been shared quickly and clearly, we switch to question and answer mode, so the team can clarify any of the points made or bring up other topics."
For those not able to join the call, BT Premium has the option of recording the conference for playback. Other BT Premium features include online voting, text transcripts of the conference and live interpretation.
"We also have our own allocated event manager to ensure the conference runs smoothly. BT Conference Call Premium enables me to communicate with my team in a regular, efficient way that wouldn't otherwise be possible."
