Q1. How does Event Center differ from other WebEx services?

WebEx Event Center:

  • Provides comprehensive enrollment and email options that you can customize
  • Supports program management so that you can group events by partners and products
  • Does not allow attendees to remotely control shared applications, Web browsers, or desktops
  • Allows hosts to generate reports before or after events
  • Allows hosts to track where attendees are coming from and their lead scores

Q5. What are public, private, and unlisted events?

When you schedule an event, you can specify that the event to be:

  • Public: The event appears on the List of Events and Recorded Events pages for anyone who visits your Event Center site (attendees must enroll to join).
  • Private: The event is indicated as being private on the List of Events and Recorded Events pages (no enrollment is required).
  • Unlisted: The event does not appear on the List of Events and Recorded Events pages. If you invite an attendee to an unlisted event, the attendee receives an invitation email message that includes complete instructions for enrolling.

    Q6. Can I record events?

Yes. If you subscribe to the WebEx service, instead of using WebEx on a pay-per-use basis, you can record your events or the Event Center Production Team can record them for you. You can then publish recorded events on your Event Center Web site so that others can play them.
